SPORTS FAB: Serena Williams DEFEATS 18-Year-Old Taylor Townsend, ADVANCES At The U.S. Open

Serena Williams advanced to round two of the U.S. Open after defeating 18-year-old Taylor Townsend, who made an impressive showing during the match. But what we're most impressed about -- is that two YBF chicks took over the US Open last night.  Watch the ladies is action inside....  No. 1-ranked and No. 1-seed tennis champ Serena Williams advances in the U.S. Open after a crushing defeat of Taylor Townsend, an 18-year-old Chicago native, who made her debut at the U.S. Open as a wild card. It was an interesting scene in Flushing Meadows as Serena battled a young prodigy whom some have dubbed "the future of tennis". Taylor, who won the junior girls Australian Open in 2012, was the first American to hold the No. 1 year-end world ranking for junior girls since 1982. Taylor took the defeat in stride....since it came at the hands of one of her idols.  Speaking about Serena, she toldUSA Today, "She's an African-American woman from Compton, California, who has won 17 or…

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Get Married ... Finally!

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie finally have made it official ... they got married!
In typical Brangelina fashion, it happened very under the radar. In fact ... they did the deed last weekend in France, according to a spokesman for the couple.
They were married in a small private ceremony at Chateau Miraval, which they own. Jolie was walked down the aisle by her oldest sons Pax and Maddox, while Zahara and Vivienne threw petals and Shiloh and Knox served as ring bearers.
Pitt apparently went right back to work after the wedding ... he was seen on Thursday on the set of his next movie wearing a new ring on his ring finger.

8:15 AM PT -- We're told an emergency call was placed to 911 at 9:39 AM ET and the caller said, "We have somebody in either cardiac or respiratory arrest."

Joan Rivers
was rushed to a hospital in New York City moments ago ... after she stopped breathing during a surgery on her throat ... TMZ has learned.

We're told Rivers was undergoing the throat procedure in a clinic (specifically on her vocal chords) ... when she stopped breathing during the surgery.

Sources say 81-year-old Rivers was rushed to Mount Sinai hospital in New York.

We're told her daughter Melissa is on her way to New York.

15 Arguments No Guy Has Ever Won Against His Girlfriend (and Never Will)

Reading this brought back some memories and made me laugh;                                  Being in a relationship isn’t all holding hands and rainbows and consistent intimacy. There comes a time, every so often, when a couple butts heads, which is exactly why they invented make-up sex.
As much as he protests, as much as he tries to fight back, there are just some arguments that no matter what, a man will never win. Because — repeat after me — the lady is always right. Here are 11 arguments a guy will never win with his girlfriend.

1. The “Be Honest” Fight “Be honest. Do you think I’ve gained weight?” “Maybe a little bit.” “WHAT?!” “You said be honest….” That’s the thing about honesty — when someone asks for it, it probably means you should lie. Except when it comes to questions about her weight, her Bottom and her parents… then you shoulddefinitelylie.

2. The “Why Were You Checking Her Out?” Fight Even if you weren’t checking out another girl, even your eyeballs could not have possibly looked in the directi…

I got this prayer online from a friend,i believe every youth should alway remember this prayer Heavenly Father, Help us remember that the jerk who cut us off in traffic last night could be a single mother who worked nine hours that day and was rushing home to cook dinner, help with homework, do the laundry and spend a few precious moments with her children.

Help us to remember that the pierced, tattooed, disinterested young man who can't make change correctly could be a worried 19-year-old college student, balancing his apprehension over final exams with his fear of not getting his student loans for next semester.

Remind us, Lord, that the scary looking bum, begging for money in the same spot every day (who really ought to get a job), could be a slave to addictions that we can only imagine in our worst nightmares.

Help us to remember that the old couple walking annoyingly slowly through the store aisles and blocking our shopping progress are savoring this moment, knowing that, based …

7 Things the Most Successful People Do,That Make Them Great.

There’s a right way to learn. Want to be more successful? Actually, that’s not ambitious enough — want to be the best?

We've all heard of the 10,000 hour rule. Hours are vital but you can get to mastery faster — much faster — by practicing the right way.

So how can you and I do that? Here are 7 steps experts use:

1) Be Uncomfortable
You learn best when you’re reaching. “Flow” is great. But flow is not the best way to learn. You want to be stretched to the edge of your ability. It needs to be hard. That’s how your brain grows.

Here’s Dan:
We learn when we’re in our discomfort zone. When you’re struggling, that’s when you’re getting smarter. The more time you spend there, the faster you learn. It’s better to spend a very, very high quality ten minutes, or even ten seconds, than it is to spend a mediocre hour. You want to practice where you are on the edge of your ability, reaching over and over again, making mistakes, failing, realizing those mistakes and reaching again.
2) Stop Reading. S…
